School of Pietro da Cortona (Italian, 1596-1669) Classical Interior with Figures Inscribed "Pietro da Cortona" l. r. Graphite, ink, and whiting on laid paper, sheet size 11 7/8 x 16 7/16 in. (30.1 x 41.7 cm), framed. Condition: Sheet laid down on secondary sheet of laid paper, rippling, center crease, repaired tear. Watermark to sheet, depicting a figure in left profile within a heraldic shield. Several restored creases/tears, with the longest one at center through entire height of sheet. Grayish gouache retouch to restored center crease and tears.
