Victorian Brass-bound Rosewood Campaign Lap Desk, mid-late 19th century, rectangular, with brass corner mounts, lid opening to morocco writing surface and storage wells, 17 3/4 x 9 7/8 x 6 3/4 in. lacking central brass plaque at lid and front panel; some veneer cracks; veneer loss to left side at base, small areas near hinges, and upper edge of left side. hinge distress, wear, dryness, and tears to interior morocco; an interior compartment lid loose; corossion to inkpot lid.
