Late 19th/Early 20th century. Mahogany wood lap desk of traditional rectangular form with string inlaid decoration. Hinged top opens to green felt lined interior with four compartments for storing writing utensils and supplies. Handles on side of lap desk, one pulls out to drawer. Desk raised on a wooden base with bracket accented corners and stretcher base. Height 24", width 20.25", depth 10".
