Two Russian Icons, late 19th/early 20th century, each with kovcheg panel, the first depicting the Diesis on gold leaf, with Christ enthroned flanked by Mary and John, and two auxiliary figures in the border, ht. 12 1/2, wd. 9 7/8; the second depicting Christ Pantocrator, ht. 12 1/8, wd. 10 1/4 in. Deisis: Bubbling and heat damage. Cracks to paint and gesso. Loss to varnish and paint. Some inpainting. Panel slightly warped. Christ Pantocrator: Lacking riza. Chips and inpainting to edges. Panel slightly warped.
