American Watch Company 14kt Gold Hunter Case Watch, Waltham, Massachusetts, c. 1887, heavily engraved 14kt gold case with box hinge, monogramed front lid within an elaborate border, rear lid with alpine scene, chased decoration around the rim, white enameled dial with Roman numerals, sunk seconds, blued steel spade hands and signed American Watch Company Waltham , stem wound, lever set gilt brass full plate movement marked P.S. Bartlett, Waltham, Mass. and 3758010 , 53 mm, case weight 50 dwt. Case and movement are mint grade, dial with slight hairlines in the 7-8 positions.
