Satsuma Covered Teapot, Japan, 20th century, round bottom with waisted shoulder to the mouth, domed cover with a round knob, depicting figures in a landscape setting in four sections on the body, all embellished with gilt, the shoulder and slightly domed cover embellished with floral and foliate motifs in gold only, the handle glazed in pale yellow and crackled, unglazed base, a mark by Shimazu Family under the spout, ht. 4 1/2 in.
