Santo Loquasto (American, b. 1944) Costume Design for a Female Imperial from Push Comes to Shove , 1975 Signed and dated "Loquasto '75" l.r., titled and inscribed around the margins and with fabric swatches stapled to right margin. Watercolor and pencil on paper, 11 x 6 5/8 in. (27.9 x 16.8 cm), unframed. Condition: Subtle handing creases and minor soiling, glue residue to top and bottom edges of the reverse. N.B. For the American Ballet Theater, Push Comes to Shove , choreography by Twyla Tharp, world premiere: Uris Theatre, New York, January 9, 1976. The lot is accompanied by a signed 8 x 10-in. black-and-white photograph of Twyla Tharp by Kenn Duncan (American, 1928-1986), identified on a label from the Twyla Tharp Foundation affixed to the reverse.
