Seven Manchu Informal Robes, China, 19th/20th century, a dark blue silk robe embroidered with moths and flower arrangements in "Forbidden Stitch," the sleeves embroidered with bats, shou symbols and peonies, a navy blue silk robe embroidered with blue peonies in "Forbidden Stitch" and sprigs of prunus blossom, a silver-blue silk brocade robe decorated with silver dragons surrounded by various flowers, a tan silk robe embroidered with peaches, ruyi , and bats symbolizing longevity, a blue silk brocade robe embroidered with roundels of rockwork and chrysanthemums, interspersed with bats and ripe fruit, a cream silk brocade jacket embroidered with flowers, and a blue vest woven with shou symbols.
