Congreave Rolling Ball Clock, probably London, 20th century, silvered Roman numeral dial, blued steel trefoil hands, silvered name boss engraved Sir William Congreave/London/Inventor , four pillar frame with adjustable feet and pineapple finials supports the tilt table with rolling ball, as the polished ball finishes the traverse, it hits a lever tilting the table in the opposite direction, spring barrel movement with table release as the escapement, raised cherry pedestal and fitted glass enclosure, ht. of clock on pedestal, 18 1/2, with glass, 22 1/2 in.
