First half of 20th century. Black lacquered side table or stand with chinoiserie decoration throughout. Rectangular top with two figures in an outdoor landscape setting surrounded by frame accented with flowers in medallions. Background with engraved geometric diaper patterned ground. Red undulating stylized wave motif at top on apron above four square legs and box stretcher base with peach, floral and leaved motif. Feet with red spiral motif. Unmarked. Height 19", length 16.75", depth 13.75". Provenance: From the Collection of Ms. Dorothy Edwards, Atlanta, Georgia.
