Assembled Victorian Silver Presentation Trowel with an Ivory Handle, Sheffield, Harrison Brothers & Howson, makers, handle 1895-96, engraved trowel 1910-11, silver-mounted ivory handle with palmettes, trowel engraved allover with flowers and scrollwork centering an inscription: "This Trowel/was used by/Mrs. Gerald Moor/at the laying of/The Foundation Stone/of the Church Hall, Preston./10. October 1912./&/Presented to her by the architect/Francis Hooper FRIBA," with an armorial formed as a garter with "IN DEO CONFIDO," lg. 13 5/8 in., approx. 9.9 troy oz.
