Louis XVI-style Ormolu-mounted Parquetry Writing Desk, France, late 19th/early 20th century, with a central kingwood and tulipwood parquetry panel, a row of three frieze drawers, the central drawer with an ormolu-mount cast as satyrs amidst foliate arabesques and grapevines, raised on four fluted and tapering legs, with a handwritten inscription dated "1907" in one of the drawers, ht. 29 1/2, dp. 48 1/4, dp. 27 1/4; together with a side chair, ht. 36 1/2 in.
