Shirvan "Baku Chila" Rug, East Caucasus, late 19th century, two medium ivory stepped medallions inset with a diamond issuing four rosettes on a midnight blue field surrounded by large stylized polychrome "boteh," stepped medium blue spandrels, all within a medium blue stylized rosette main border, barber pole and "S" with diamond pattern minor borders, 5 ft. 8 in. x 3 ft. 8 in.
