Levi and Abel Hutchins Mahogany Tall Clock, Concord, New Hampshire, c. 1800, the hood with pierced fret top and three brass finials, glazed hood door over the painted iron Arabic numeral "Osborne" dial with allegorical figure in the arch and bird and leaf spandrels, signed L. & A. Hutchins/Concord , flanked by two freestanding reeded hood columns, the crossbanded waist door with dark and light sapwood banding flanked by reeded quarter-columns capped with brass, over the base with conforming banding and a splayed French foot and scalloped apron, eight-day time and strike movement with hour strike on a bell regulated by a pendulum and powered by two tin-cased weights, ht. 99 in. Note: Levi and Abel were both apprentices of Simon Willard and both worked in Roxbury and Concord, New Hampshire.
