Identified Carte-de-visite of Emery Hilton, Company E, 4th Maine Infantry, c. 1861, seated image of Hilton wearing a frock coat, waistbelt, and a cartridge box over his shoulder. Provenance: The collection of Denis E. Reen. Note: Hilton enlisted on April 29th, 1861, and was wounded at the battle of Bull Run on July 21st, 1861 while the standard bearer for his regiment.
