New, Improved Edition (first Hardouin edition was 1685), with 11 engraved plates of coins. Hardouin was the son of a bookseller and became librarian at the Jesuit College of Paris. Armorial bookplate of Mansfield Price L.L.D. tipped in front pastedown and manuscript ex-libris Mansfield Price and Emanuel Mendes da Costa, Reg. Soc. Lond, 1749, to title page. Lacking engraved map; hinges cracked; minor wormholes to endpapers; otherwise interior is fine with only minor marginal foxing to some plates.
