Six small African carved facial masks mounted to canvas lined frame. Three masks of darker wood, carvings depicting faces with closed eyes (two with chevron form striped vertical band down forehead). Three of lighter color and carved with flared elements off face (one with mouth open and teeth exposed). Two of the lighter toned masks with holes at top for presumably mounting or an attachment to an accessory. All unmarked. Framed 21.3 inches x 24.5 inches. The largest mask 5 inches x 3.5 inches. The smallest 2.5 inches x 1.5 inches. Provenance: From the Estate of Mr. Thomas V. and Mrs. Marie B. Patton, Atlanta, Georgia.
