English, Late19th century (circa 1889). Rectangular matchbox composed of tortoise shell and mounted with sterling silver. Rectangular box with pull out wooden matchbox and decorated with "Xmas" on top. Maker's marks visible on top mounts with "HA", London sterling silver marks and date mark. Height 1.2", width 3", depth 2".
