Tall polyhcrome ceramic cylindrical umbrella or cane storage stand with hand painted figural decoration depicting a shirtless male lion tamer addressing a large lion standing on his hind legs and his fore legs up in fighting gesture on blue ground, surrounded by green plants on red ground. Unmarked. Height 25 inches. Diameter of top 9.5 inches. Provenance: From the Estate of Mr. Thomas V. and Mrs. Marie B. Patton, Atlanta, Georgia.
