A black wool and silk shantung long-sleeve dress. The dress is believed to have been designed by Valentina for Greta Garbo in the early 1950s. Mandarin collar, set-in sleeves that end at cuffs, two side pockets, zipper at back. No size or label present. Appears in the book Greta Garbo: The Mystery of Style edited by Stefania Ricci (Milan: Skira, 2010) and previously exhibited: Museo Salvatore Ferragamo, Greta Garbo: The Mystery of Style , February through September 2010.
