A bodice jacket worn by Katharine Hepburn as Clara Wieck Schumann, the distinguished Romantic era pianist and wife of Robert Schumann, in Song of Love (MGM, 1947). The tailored piece is silk jacquard with an abstract coral and marigold floral print on a slate ground with decorative brass tone buttons, fabric loops, and burgundy silk lining. A bias label reads "#1398 Katharine Hepburn." Costume supervisor Irene. Accompanied by a deep burgundy velvet skirt not original to costume, a black and white studio image and a copy of the film. Previously exhibited at The Sharon Landa Gallery in Hollywood, California, 1971.
