A pair of black toque hats. The first is a wool felt hat with a Mr. John label and a Valentina spiderweb embroidered in the hat band. It is unknown if Valentina procured the item for Garbo or altered the hat in some fashion. The second is a velvet toque with no maker label present. Appears in the book Greta Garbo: The Mystery of Style edited by Stefania Ricci (Milan: Skira, 2010) and previously exhibited: Museo Salvatore Ferragamo, Greta Garbo: The Mystery of Style , February through September 2010.
