A group of Rick Griffin designed Berkley Bonaparte Canablis poster plates, progressive prints and final poster. This lot includes three progressive printing plates, two printing proofs and a framed uncut copy of the finished poster. The poster reads "Can-a-blis/ Pipe & Cigarette Tobacco/ Guaranteed Not to Bite the Tongue, and to Give Pleasure." Copyright Berkeley Bonaparte 1967 and printed by Cal Litho. Griffin used vintage labels as his inspiration for the poster in imagining what marijuana would look like if sold in stores. Largest, 30 by 27 1/2 inches Categories:
