A handwritten letter from legendary college basketball coach John Wooden. The letter, written by Wooden on his personal stationery, is in reference to some comments Wooden made being misinterpreted. In the letter Wooden states that he feels while Michael Jordan is "perhaps the greatest individual player that basketball has had, no other player should rate above Oscar," referring to Oscar Robertson. He goes on to state regarding Robertson and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, "I never thought that Jabbar made him [Robertson] a star. He was a star when Jabbar was in high school." The letter is signed "Sincerely, John Wooden" and is accompanied by the original envelope. 8 1/2 by 5 1/2 inches ESTIMATE $200-400 Categories:
