18K yellow gold, set with a carved opal 2 x 1. 3/4", suspending three gold feathers topped with diamonds, 3.3/4 x 2.1/2", 41.7 grams (one diamond missing). Accompanied by a typed, signed letter from Dennis Schmelzenbach, president of Opals International, Ltd, to Burt Reynolds, thanking him for his purchase. In the letter Schmelzenbach states that he made some "finer points in finishing" that were not included in the original sketch.
