A leisure suit worn by Matt Damon as Scott Thorson in the award-winning HBO movie Behind the Candelabra (HBO, 2013). The suit has the appearance of denim patchwork and consists of a shirt made by H Bar C California Ranchwear and comes with matching pants carrying the same label. The costume includes the production hold tag that reads “Behind the Candelabra: Hold!” “Scott Change #4.” Damon can be seen wearing this costume as his character Scott and his friend Bob Black, portrayed by Scott Bakula, are seen walking into a venue to see Scott’s first performance by Liberace, portrayed by Michael Douglas. Behind the Candelabra , directed by Academy Award winner Steven Soderbergh, is based on Thorson’s 1988 memoir, Behind the Candelabra : My Life with Liberace . The film received 15 Emmy nominations and went on to win 11, including Outstanding Miniseries or Movie, Outstanding Director, Outstanding Costumes for a Movie or Miniseries for costume designer Ellen Mirojnick, and Best Actor for Douglas.
