Colt Frontier Scout, # 48030, . 22 caliber converted to blank gun, aluminum frame with nickeled barrel and cylinder and faux pearl grips. This gun was used in the television show "The Wild Wild West," and can be readily identified in many scenes with Robert Conrad. Gun is in good condition as converted for use in Hollywood movies and was from the world famous Stembridge Collection, which provided Hollywood with firearms props for decades. The revolver has moderate wear from use and carry and has a broken back strap. The bore and cylinder have been bored out to a larger diameter for a more dramatic effect and the barrel no longer has rifling. The cylinder take down pin has been converted to a screw. This gun is a prop and is for display purposes only, it is not safe to fire! Emmy-nominated The Wild Wild West ran for five seasons between 1965 and 1969 on CBS. The show was reportedly cancelled not due to poor ratings but because CBS was uncomfortable with the excessive violence shown in the program.
