A kick shield owned and used by Bruce Lee. The Rawlings Saf-T-Air kick shield has an inflatable bag interior. Lee was introduced to the kick shield by his friend Dan Inosanto. The original intent for the shields was for football practice. Lee used kick shields in his personal training and also on the television program Longstreet (CBS, 1971-1972) and in his film The Way of the Dragon (Golden Harvest, 1972). Printed on the shield is "Uses Shoulder's high block use shoulder for scrimmage high absorbsion easy holding 7psi." Accompanied by a letter from Lee's student and friend Taky Kimura, who received the shield from Lee and copies of Longstreet and The Way of the Dragon .
