White denim cowboy suit, designed by Walter Von Beirendonck for the 1997 Popmart tour, labels read: “Kiss The Future! W.&L.T. Wild and Leathal Trash” This suit is one of two created for the Popmart tour. Edge appeared on the cover of the Hasta La Vista live CD walking down the steps of the Popmart Lemon wearing one of these suits. From U2 Stylist Sharon Blankson: This was worn by The Edge with white cowboy boots and cowboy hat, belt and a "Mr The Edge" t-shirt, this was The Edge's 'Lemon" change, a part of the show where U2 arrived on stage by means of a giant, motorized, mirrorball lemon, which travelled, revolving, down the stage then split open at the 'B' stage to reveal the band inside. The suit is decorated with white plastic pyramid studs, the studs on the shoulder were removed after The Edge found they were uncomfortable to wear under a guitar strap while playing. Categories:
