Voit football inscribed, "To Bob Hope Thanks For The Memory / 1955 Rose Bowl" and signed in ink by approximately 38 Ohio State University players, including All-American running back Howard “Hopalong” Cassady, who would win the Heisman Trophy the following season; All-American end Dean Dugger and guard Jim Reichenbach. Picked to finish no higher than 10th in the big Ten, OSU shocked the nation and capped a perfect 10-0 season as they beat USC 20-7, giving coach Woody Hayes the first of his five national championships, overall good to very good condition.
