A collection of five stage costumes worn by the Jacksons: Michael, Tito, Jackie, Janet, and La Toya. The Jacksons can be seen in the same or similar suits at the 1976 American Music Awards and other events. The ensembles were designed by Bill Whitten, and some of the pieces bear “Bill Whitten Workroom 27” labels. The men’s suits are comprised of navy blue pants with a tuxedo stripe embellished with blue seed beads, a brocade vest in shades of blue, and a jacket with wide peaked lapels featuring beaded arabesque designs at shoulder and cuff. Janet’s costume consists of a cropped jacket similar to the men’s and a pair of culottes with tuxedo stripes. La Toya’s costume is comprised of an A-line skirt and fitted matching jacket. Categories:
