A hand-held control unit used throughout the run of Eureka (NBCUniversal, 2006-2012). The custom enclosure was built around an Apple iPod Touch with a series of graphic files, including an image of Dr. Allison Blake, played by Salli Richardson-Whitfield, as a matrix for her holographic projection in the fourth season episode “One Giant Leap.” The unit was also used by Dr. Grace Monroe to measure radiation on the reentry pad in “Clash of the Titans.” There are both custom made graphics and a short video showing an active scan stored in the iPod.
