Promotional photograph of Lillian Gish taken by photographer Ruth Harriet Louise with photographer stamp on verso. Inscribed, "Most Sincerely Lillian Gish 1930." In 1925, at age 22, Louise ran MGM's portrait studio. She was the only female photographer in the studios at that time and her photographs are ranked on par with other renowned glamour photographers of this era. Lillian Gish left MGM in 1928 when the studio released her from her contract. Gish's film and television career spanned 75 years. 10 by 8 inches. Categories:
