A four-page executed contract between Elvis Presley and International Broadcasting Corporation. The contract was signed September 8, 1955. Presley signed in red ink, his parents signed as witnesses, and H.L. Logan signed the contract as well. International Broadcasting Corporation operated radio station KWKH which, broadcast Logan’s radio show, Louisiana Hayride. This was only the second performance contract Presley signed in his career. The contract stated that Presley would perform on the program for 52 consecutive Saturdays beginning on November 12, 1955. Presley performed only 18 of those Saturdays. After Col. Parker discovered Presley, the contract was bought out for a reported $10,000. Also present is a letter of authenticity signed by Louisiana Hayride owner Joey Kent and radio personality Frank Page. 14 by 8 1/2 inches Categories: Elvis Presley
