A Michael Jackson red face mask made for Jackson by Dennis Tompkins and Michael Bush. The exterior is pleated red satin. Closes with four ties. Michael Bush explains in The King of Style : Dressing Michael Jackson (San Rafael: Insight Editions, 2012) that Jackson first began wearing surgical masks while on tour to stave off illness. Jackson asked Tompkins and Bush to make more colorful and fashionable masks for him to wear.
