English, third quarter of 18th century. Pair of fine and ornate George III oval gilt wood mirrors. Each with oval vertically aligned looking glass framed within a pierced C-scroll and foliate carved surround surmounted by a leaf carved crest. Mirrors measure approximately 50.5" x 28.7". Provenance: Sotheby's New York: Important English Furniture & Ceramics, October 22, 1999 as Lot 305 whereby acquired by Mrs. Dorothy Edwards, Atlanta, Georgia.
