Mahogany wood cased marine compass with alcohol filled hand painted directional chamber with brass fittings marked manufacturer and model number "E.S. RITCHIE & SONS 80948 BOSTON". Square wood lidded case with brass handles on side and inscribed name plate on top of hinged lid that opens glass topped surface for viewing ship's compass. Overall height 6.75" x 6.5" square.
