Bound in half red leather with gilt embossed decorative design to the spine. Marbled end papers. Illustrated with 4 color chromolithographs as called for and over 200 other engravings as illustration plates or drawings in the text. By Comte P. Vasili, a pseudonym for Princess Catherine Radziwill, born Katarzyna Adamovna Rzewuska (1858-1941), a Polish aristocrat and forger, known for an adventurous life.
