Japanese, 20th century. A large blue and white porcelain charger or round form with blue underglaze hand painted decoration on white ground depicting traditional architectural buildings on the banks of a river that runs through a mountainous valley with small figures scattered throughout the scene. Embossed mark on underside, appears to be Yamatoku. Height 2.5", diameter 22".
