American (Philipsburg, Pennsylvania, circa 1865), Hand written personal letter and accompanying envelope from Commander General Ben W. Dailey, 16 Regiment, to his wife. Letter contained in double sided frame for viewing full text. Framed historical war document dated February 20, 1865 accompanied with framed typed translation of letter. In letter, Dailey describes his ailing heath and recovery, his love of his home in Massachusetts, and the discomfort of being sick away from home. Historical letter framed approximately 30.25" x 26". Accompanying typed translation framed approximately 15.75" x 13.5". _x000D_
