Scarce surrealist print depicting two angels flanking a crowned figure at center in a clouded heavenly setting illustrating a passage from the Paradiso section of Dante Alighieri's "Divine Comedy". Framed approximately 22.875" x 20.125". Sheet size approximately 13" x 10.375". Image size approximately 10.125" x 7.375". Provenance: From the Private Collection of Benno & Babette Rothschild, Columbus, Georgia. Reference: Field 200. Note: sheet bears chalky backing described by Albert Fields in the catalogue raisonne as often being added to sheets due to the heavy weight of ink on the sheet and/or the integrity of the sheet being compromised by 20+ runs through the press.
