French, late 19th century. A Louis XVI style giltwood carved kidney shaped bench having open back and scrolled low profile sides carved with ribbon tied garland swags over a caned seat within a beaded surround , the apron carved with guilloche and ribbon twist raised on four tapered, turned and fluted legs headed with guilloche and patera blocks and terminating on sabots. Approximate height 24", width 39.5", seat depth 15", seat height 20.4".
