Two Oak Joint Stools and a Near Pair of Caned Stools, top with molded edge, paneled apron, turned legs, base stretchers, ht. 21 3/4, seat 18 x 12; top with molded edge, narrow apron, ring-turned legs, base stretchers, ht. 22 1/2, seat 18 1/2 x 11 1/4; caned stools turned legs joined by carved and turned stretchers, ht. 16, seat 17 x 17 1/2 and ht. 16 1/2, seat 17 1/2 x 18 in. Provenance: The estate of George Way. Estimate $400-600 Solid panel stools: Chipped losses to both stools feet. One with crack to upper panel. Caned stools: Each with scattered breaks to caning, age-related nicks, abrasions and wear to frame. One with wobble to frame, and splits to upper stretchers. The other with focused area of worming to one leg. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
