John Ferguson Weir (American, 1841-1926) Chateau de Chillon Unsigned, identified in an inscription in a later hand on the frame backing. Oil on paper, 7 7/8 x 10 3/8 in. (20.0 x 26.4 cm), framed. Condition: Paper mounted to canvas and stretcher, old tack holes to corners, minor dots of retouch. Provenance: A private Massachusetts collection; purchased from the Weir family. Estimate $300-500 Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
