Yixing Clay Figure of a Hermit Luohan, China, 19th century, seated on a circular base, his chin on his overlapping hands resting on his raised right knee, his emaciated body covered with a robe with Jun-type blue glaze, a beggar's bowl in front of him, ht. 8 1/4 in. Provenance: Purchased from Alberts-Langdon, Inc., Oriental Art in 1976. Estimate $300-500 minor chips to base, otherwise in good condition.
