Pattern 1853 Enfield Rifle Musket, c. 1862, .577 caliber, walnut stock marked in the butt "W. TRANTER," steel fittings, brass triggerguard and nose cap, lock marked "1862/TOWER," (incorrect ramrod), with a wooden tompion, barrel lg. 39 in. Estimate $500-700 Stock has some dings and nicks, steel parts have some spotting, has the wrong ramrod, and the lock functions properly.
