Jewell & Co., Waltham, Massachusetts, c. 1852-67, the flattened full-body form with cast zinc head and feet perched on a ball, verdigris surface, with stand, lg. 27 in. Provenance: Robert S. Walin Antiques, Woodbury, Connecticut; a Cornwall, Connecticut, collector. Estimate $3,000-4,000 Left wing tip repaired. Right wing has subtle wrinkles. Tail has some denting and a short separation in the top seam. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
