Pair of Wedgwood Egyptian Rosso Antico Tripod Vases and Covers, England, early 19th century, domed covers with crocodile finials, applied black basalt hieroglyphs in relief, the bowl supported by three sphinx monopeds set on a circular base, impressed marks, ht. 8 1/4 in. Estimate $1,500-2,500 One crocodile head broken off and reglued. One vase with a slight chip along top rim of base. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
