Swiss, 19th century. A painted and stained glass panel of rectangular form in the 16th century style depicting two soldiers or warriors in typical dress with black jackets over red pants and feathered caps, the figures standing before an urn with flowers set on an architectural ledge, above the figures with two interior figural scenes, below left of figures with a diagonally oriented heraldic shield, and inscribed to lower right "Balthasar Bert und Balthasar Bert der Jille", the glass encased in a wooden frame. Approximate height 15.5", width 10.25". Provenance: From the Estate of Dr. Woody Cobbs and Mrs. Honor Cobbs, Atlanta, Georgia.
