James Darum (American, 20th/21st Century) The Brown Derby: Portrait of a Cowboy. Signed "James Darum" l.r. Acrylic on canvas, 60 x 36 in., unframed. Condition: Black scuff to c.r. background by the figure's shoulder. Provenance: The collection of Enid and Alexander Fisher, Roxbury, Connecticut. N.B. Although the work is technically unframed, the edges of the painted canvas are wrapped around the stretcher (likely as the artist preferred) creating a finished appearance, and hanging mechanisms are attached to the back of the stretcher, allowing the painting to be easily hung. Estimate $20-200 Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging. Any condition statement given, as a courtesy to a client, is only an opinion and should not be treated as a statement of fact. Skinner shall have no responsibility for any error or omission.
